Resources for transgender people have started to disappear from websites of nonprofits including Boys & Girls Clubs of America, RAINN, NCMEC, Futures Without Violence, and Victim Rights Law Center. Some of these were vital resources for the transgender community.
Trans people are almost 4 times more likely to be victims of a crime (source), 1.7 times more likely to be victims of intimate partner violence (source), higher rates of childhood abuse (source), and transgender youth are more than 9 times as likely to experience homelessness (source). Resources provided by the above organizations help trans people overcome these issues, and those transgender-specific resources helped to address the disparity between trans and cis demographics.
